Accepting New Writers

Rebecca and Mindy smiling

I want you to meet my friend Mindy. (That’s me (left) with Mindy.)

If you passed her on the street, you’d think she’s just your average, frazzled, middle-class mom.

I mean, she definitely has the look — minivan packed with kids, coffee mug always in hand. Wild hair, most days.

Her neighbors wave when she takes the kids to school and returns with groceries.

They grin when she brings over fresh-baked cookies.

They think she’s a stay-at-home mom.

But in reality, she puts in a 20-hour workweek … earning as much money as her doctor and lawyer friends (some months, more) …

And has the freedom to do what she wants, when and where she pleases.

“But how?” you ask.

Simple: She’s a writer

But not the kind you might think …

Plenty of stereotypes peg writers as struggling artists who wear black and live on ramen.

Those stereotypes don’t apply here.

Because the writing Mindy does is outside the box …

She doesn’t have manuscripts waiting to get noticed … or rejection letters under her bed.

To be honest, what she does is pretty much the opposite of what you’d think a writer does.

Because she has people clamoring for her to write for them …

Willing and eager to mail her five-figure checks that come with royalties …

And perfectly happy to give her complete creative freedom, the space to work independently, and the ability to name her own deadlines.

The simple truth is this: The writing she does (which you can do, too) gives you the kind of lifestyle most people dream about …

… There’s no limit to how much you can earn — You can pad your vacation fund with an extra $10K each year, or aim straightaway for a six-figure income …

… You’re completely in charge of your timeYou decide when to take a long lunch, or a long vacation …

… You pick what kind of writing you do — Gone are the days where the boss makes you work on something you hate …

In short: It’s a writing career that sets you up to live life on your own terms.

What could be better?

But you should know, Mindy’s not the only one doing this.

The path she followed has been traveled by hundreds of other writers — successful people who decided to grab life by the horns and never settle for less than what they want.

They’re called Barefoot Writers. It’s a little tongue-in-cheek, sure.

But when you make your living as a writer, there’s no dress code. No need to report to an office.

Instead, you have complete freedom to live your life the way you want and earn as much as you please.

Discover how you can have this dream lifestyle as a writer.
